Patty
Dental Hygienist
Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Patricia attended Palm Beach State College for her Dental Hygiene training, as well as Florida Atlantic University. She has been working at Dental Care of Boca Raton since 1989. Since that time, she has attended many dental continuing education courses relating to Practice Management and Periodontics, including periodontal training with local and national experts in the field. She also obtained a local anesthesia license to be able to give local injections to patients for added comfort during their procedures. She loves to help patients become free from dental disease and learn to prevent future problems so that they keep their teeth healthy for a lifetime. In Patricia’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family including her two boys. She enjoys going to the beach, reading, spending lots of time attending her children’s athletic and school events and regularly volunteering at their schools.
Ivonne
Practice Administrator
Originally from New York City, Ivonne Medina moved to sunny Florida over twenty years ago and was given the opportunity to be part of the amazing dental team at Dental Care of Boca Raton. Prior to her move, she attended John Jay Community College in Brooklyn. She appreciates the fact that Dr. Kagan has always encouraged and empowered his staff to grow and improve themselves through continued education. Ivonne shares the honor of co-managing the office with Vivilyn and loves helping to ensure the team provides patients the best experience in quality care. She looks forward to meeting and being of service to all patients and welcoming them with a big smile. Her favorite pastimes are doing Zumba and spending time with her family.
Vivilyn
Practice Administrator
Originally from Jamaica, Vivilyn has been with Dental Care of Boca Raton since 1992. She helps to ensure that all patients are treated like family and have the optimal experience in their pathway to health. She enjoys educating patients about all that dentistry has to offer for their lives and helping them to make informed decisions. Vivilyn spends most of her time away from the office working out, playing tennis, and having fun with family and friends.
Karla
Clinical Department Lead
Born and raised in Panama, Karla came to the United States at the age of 19. She attended Dental Assisting School at Old Dominion University-Norfolk VA. She has enjoyed each and every day since she joined Dental Care of Boca Raton. She loves leading her team to collectively help each patient to have the ultimate experience. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.
Ellie
Dental Assistant
Eliete Galvao, or as everyone knows her, “Ellie,” is originally from Brazil. She received her dental degree from Univale Governador Valadares. She practiced dentistry for twelve years in Brazil. She moved to the U.S. on January 10th, 1989. She would travel a lot going back and forth from Brazil to Boston for 10 years until she sold her office and came to Miami in 2000. She now lives in Boca Raton with her husband and children, Michael and Kimberly. She started working as a dental assistant in the U.S. after receiving her Expanded Intra-oral Functions Certificate at Miami Institute of Medical Technology. She has worked as an assistant for 14 years and at our office for two years. She is very happy that with her experience and knowledge, she is able to help our doctors that give the best care for our patients. She ensures that patient’s appointments are comfortable and easy going so everything is achieved. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling as much as possible, gardening (she loves orchids), playing with her dog and going out for brunch with friends.
